As skaters mature, figure skating has opened the door to many further exciting pursuits!
Beyond Competing
Qualified
Coaching.
Some of our skaters take their passion for ice skating further and decide to begin the training to become Coaches. Not only does this allow them to pass their skating knowledge onto younger club members, it gives them valuable skills which would be attractive to potential employers.
We have two skaters who have achieved their level two skating qualification and another skater who has obtained level one. We currently have three club members who are undertaking their level one coaching badge.
Professional
Show Skaters.
Olivia Bell is in her early twenties and has skated with the Club since she was 10 years old, winning many podium places across the UK.
She deferred her University place to study Chemistry to follow her skating dreams to work as a professional ice dancer. She tours the world as a show skater in Ice Shows. She started her show career in the Netherlands at age 17 , followed by four seasons in Mexico with ‘Illusion on Ice’.
Olivia is currently in her third season with ‘Holiday on Ice’, where Robin Cousins is the Director.
Adult
Competitions.
The thrill of competing does not end when you reach
18 years of age.
Some of our skaters continue competing in adult competitions both nationally and internationally.
