East Kilbride Ice Figure Skating Club are grateful to have Yvonne Cameron, Silvanna Cameron and Michelle McIntyre as our club coaches.
Silvanna and Yvonne have coached with the club since it was established and have been joined by Yvonne’s daughter, Michelle. Keeping it in the family! Their skill, experience and dedication ensures our highest standards.
Level 5 Coach
• European, World and Olympic Championships coach.
• Pupil Medals at British Championships: 10 British Champions, 11 Silver medalists and 9 Bronze.
• Pupils have participated at Junior & Senior Internationals, Youth Olympics, Junior Worlds, European Championships, Worlds & Olympics.
• Former Scottish Senior Ladies Champion.
• Represented Great Britain at Senior Internationals.
• Travelled the world as Principal Skater in Ice Shows.
• Appeared with John Curry at The London Palladium and Bristol Hippodrome.
• Coached and lectured at many summer schools.
• Coached both men and ladies Scottish Champions at every level including Senior Men & Ladies.
• Voted ‘Coach of the Year’ by South Lanarkshire Council in 2001.
• Pupils have taken part in Internationals in Colorado, St Gervais, Vienna, Albertville, Lausanne, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Obersdorf, Paris, Slovenia, Croatia, Sundsvall, Australia & Belgium.
• Currently has club members in British Ice Skating ‘Young Stars’ Development Squad.
• Currently has club members in the top 10 British National Rankings in Basic Novice, Advanced Novice and Junior categories.
Level 4 Coach
• European and World Coach / NCCP Level 4 in Technical, Theory, Practical & Sport Science /B.I.T.A. Master Coach
• Trained to Gold Standard.
• Competed at British Senior Championships.
• Travelled most of Europe & Asia as Principal Skater & Choreographer.
• Gained distinction pass in National Coaching Certificate programme.
• Coached pupils at National & International Level.
• Pupils have represented Great Britain at Junior & Senior Internationals, Youth Olympics, Europeans & Worlds.
• Coached (along with sister Yvonne) the only Scottish male skater to have passed gold star test.
• Pupils have competed at every level at British Championships.
• Coached both men & ladies who have been Scottish Champions at every level
• Trained and worked alongside some of the worlds’ best figure skaters & coaches.
• Coached members of the British Olympic Squad.
• In the summer of 2005, coached alongside Russian coaches at the Dundee Skating School.
• Currently has club members in British Ice Skating ‘Young Stars’ Development Squad.
• Currently has club members in the top 10 British National Rankings in Basic Novice, Advanced Novice and Junior categories.
• Won the British age groups out of over 200 competitors at the age of 8
• Represented Scotland on numerous occasions in competitive skating
• Had the honour of skating for the Queen at 5 years old
• A pupil achieved a British basic novice silver medal
• Had a pupil simultaneously finish top of the British national rankings at basic novice, intermediate novice and advanced novice.
• Coached at skate camps alongside world class coaches
• Pupils have represented Great Britain at Latvia international
• Competed in British Championships at the young age of 10.
